Premiere in California

Method and Ignorance is a piece for piano and electronics that I composed in 2024. It is loosely based on thoughts concerning the relation between what is found and what is created. These two rationales can be summarized in the homonyms I and eye, where the I is what creates and the eye what finds.

Renown new music pinaist Chryssie Nonou will premiere it at a concert titled The Known World at Tateuchi Hall, Finn Center at 230 San Antonio Circle in Mountain View, California. The concert features works for piano and mixed media mainly inspired and created with environmental data. It is a mix of commissioned works and contemporary repertoire, to raise awareness to ongoing environmental changes through sound and images. It is scheduled as part of the Community Concerts series of the Center, a free of charge open to all in the heart of silicon valley series, dedicated to bringing all forms of arts to all public.
