After three years of workshops, projects and concerts the IRESAP (Information Retrieval in Embedded Systems for Audiovisual Artistic Processes) is coming to a halt. One of the visions of the project was to create a platform for augmented reality experiences where listener could navigate a physical space through audio with only a phone and a set of headphones. An electroacoustic music concert in the forest.

Within the space there are nine zones in which various kinds of music and sound is played back. I have contributed to the background sounds and made a version of my piece Rain for this context.

For this installation we are using the new MPEG-I standard that handles all the rendering of the spatial audio. We are also performing live to it on a custom built instrument. A design goal was for the audience not to have to install any additional software, but be able to run the the installation from a web interface. Once logged on a personalized stream of music is presented..
